Our Company

 The original Mr. Ford, Sr. purchased a local Tailor made only shop in Muncie in 1965. Mr. Ford's background was not in retail clothing but the cleaning of clothes, He was the local Dry Cleaner for 25 years. After purchasing the Tailor Made clothing shop, one of his sons Max Ford came into the business with him in 1972 and in 1974 another son joined the company. In 1976 the store was moved to the north side of town by the new mall. Stock clothing was added aggressively and the location expanded. In 1986 a new location closer to the mall became available so the store once again moved to the present location at 820 East McGalliard. At this location in 1988 a full Women's Department was added to the store by Max's wife Susan. This department specializes in moderate to better quality clothing from Casual to Dressy, carrying such lines as Susan Bristol, David Brooks, Karen Kane, Blue Fish, Joan Vass and much more. The ladies Department also brings in neat and unique gifts for people to purchase as they are looking for hard to find gifts.

In the Tailored clothing department we stock suits with our labels to a Palm Beach label. Sizes are from 36 short to 60 Long. We also special order a lot of suits from the 'Suited for you' programs of Palm Beach, Sewell Mfg. and Hardwick depending on the price point you want.

Dress and casual pants 32 to 60, Dress shirts and Sport shirts 15 to 22. Florsheim shoes in stock and special order. Stocks in their maintenance free black or burgundy Wingtips, Black or burgundy slip-on's wingtip along with black, brown and burgundy Comfortech shoe.

 Tuxedo Rentals and Sales are a major portion of our business. We stock and own over 500 garments to serve your rental needs from a basic Tux to the high fashion Tuxedos. If you want to purchase, we sell 'After Six', 'Oscar De la Rental 'Lord West', 'Perry Ellis and more from Suits to Shoes.

We have one of the few, in this area, remaining In-Store Tailoring Departments to Tailor out all of our garments in men or ladies at no additional costs. Alterations are FREE.
